    Marla and kanal land conversion

In Pakistan land is often measured in marla and kanal. This converter uses the standard 1 marla = 272.25 sq ft (25.29 m²) and 1 kanal = 20 marla = 5,445 sq ft. Some housing societies and cities use 225 or 250 sq ft per marla, so always confirm the local definition in property documents.

    Metric vs imperial

Most of the world, including Qatar, Pakistan, India and Europe, uses the metric system (meters, kilograms, liters, Celsius). The United States mainly uses imperial units (feet, pounds, gallons, Fahrenheit), and the UK mixes both, for example miles on road signs and stones for body weight. A quick, accurate converter avoids mistakes in recipes, online shopping sizes, travel and construction measurements.
