Free AI Text Summarizer: Summarize Articles in Seconds

Turn long articles, reports, emails and study notes into a short summary or bullet points. Choose the length you need; free, no sign-up.

Free, no sign-up. Text is processed by Google Gemini AI to produce the result and is not stored by PDF One Click. Fair-use limit: 15 requests per hour. AI can make mistakes; check facts and names before using the text.

Quick answer: Paste the text, pick Short, Paragraph, Bullet points or Detailed, and press Summarize. The AI keeps the main points, facts and conclusions and leaves out the rest. If the AI is busy, the tool automatically picks the key sentences in your browser instead.

How to summarize text online

  1. Copy the text from a web page, email, PDF or Word file and paste it into the box. For a PDF, you can first extract the text with our PDF to Word tool.
  2. Choose the summary type. Bullet points are best for meeting notes and revision; a paragraph is best for emails and reports.
  3. Press Summarize, then copy the result or edit it.

Which summary length should I choose?

  • Short: a 2–3 sentence TL;DR for a quick message or social post.
  • Paragraph: about 4–6 sentences for an email, abstract or overview.
  • Bullet points: 4–7 key points for study notes, slides or a briefing.
  • Detailed: 2–3 short paragraphs that keep all important facts and numbers.

Tips for better summaries

Remove menus, adverts and comments before pasting a web article so the AI focuses on the real content. For very long documents, summarize each section separately and then summarize the summaries. The summary only uses information from your text and doesn’t add opinions, but always double-check numbers and names before you rely on them in assignments or work.
